Yamaha XS650 cast brat,(Now sold)
The Yamaha XS650 cast brat style build is a 1978 which is now tax & mot exempt
Below is a breakdown of the work we did
- Stripped off all the unnecessary parts
- Fit tank & complete the fabrication work
- Replace subframe with new narrower subframe
- Make seat pan, fabricate & fit rear fender
- Strip the frame of all tags, fabricate all mounts for new electronics
- Frame, swingarm, wheels, & other parts blasted then powder coated black
- Lower front forks, clean all parts then change all seals & oil, reassemble.
- Brake calipers stripped, all paint removed then repainted & rebuilt
- Engine removed, sump filter removed clean & refitted
- Valve clearances checked & adjusted
- Engine soda blasted, steam cleaned & repainted
- New engine oil
- New firestone style tyres
- Vape PMA charging system
- Vape reg/rec
- Vape ignition system with solid state CDI
- Low line bars with momentary control buttons for horn, high/low beam
- Bates style headlight with amber lense
- New throttle assembly
- New performance inlets, new 32mm carburetors, filters & cables
- New chain & sprockets
We’ve gone through the bike from top to bottom, our XS builds are designed to be as easy to live with as possible using modern electronics giving the reliability of a batteryless system.
